June Lake Brewing

Snowing... Sometimes...

So we have been getting some snow and certainly wintery weather, but Godzirra El Nino has yet to enter the building.  Currently at 25 degrees F and snowing outside the brewery, it would seem something is bringing us a little holiday love.

On the beer front we released the Pinot Noir barrel aged Carson Peak American Strong Ale to much fanfare and acclaim (at least in my mind) for the opening of June Mountain Ski Area on Saturday December 12th.  It was an epic opening day up on Chair 7 with the TestPilot Crew slashing and slaying the gnar, rivaled only by the unabashed AWESOMENESS that is the barrel aged Carson Peak.  I mean this shit is real good... With a slight oaky/earthy taste and the smoothness of a velvet glove, the Pinot barrels refine the blistering hop character of this huge beer to something best appreciated in a leather backed wing chair beside an oak fire.  At 13% + this beer is not to be trifled with.

If you're able to make it to June this holiday season stop by and say hi, and if not you can vicariously enjoy the greatest place in the Eastern Sierra though our many antics and adventures.
